Rev. Dr. J. D. Landis, Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. J. D. Landis has served five churches since coming to Michigan from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. During his time at Community UMC in Romulus, he completed the Doctor of Ministry at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. J. D. also served as Senior Associate at Metropolitan UMC in Detroit and, most recently, was the Directing Pastor of Swartz Creek UMC. Rev. Dr. Lisa Mcilvenna, Associate Pastor Lisa has an undergraduate BA degree in Sociology and Instrumental Music from Adrian College, a Mastor of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology in Dallas, Texas, and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Pastoral Counseling and Psychotherapy through Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary and the Samaritan Counseling Center of Southeastern Michigan. She was ordained an elder in the United Methodist Church in 1993. Completing her doctorate degree in 2006, Lisa is a licensed professional counselor (LPC), and a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and in the fall of 2010 will become a “Fellow” of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors (AAPC) Lisa was trained as a Stephen Leader in 1999. In addition to acting as staff liaison to the Stephen Ministry program at FUMC and sharing in preaching, teaching, and other pastoral responsibilities, Lisa feels God has placed upon her heart the vision of developing a pastoral counseling center and ministry in the Midland-Saginaw-Bay City area and is currently working with the support of area churches and community leaders to make that vision a reality through the development of “Fresh Aire Pastoral Counseling Services.” Phone: 989-835-6797, ext. 15 |

Rev. Dr. Charles Keyworth, Associate Pastor Chuck is a graduate of United Theological Seminary in Dayton Ohio (M. Div.) and Drew University School of Theology (D. Min). He has served as Associate Pastor of FUMC since 1999. Other churches he has served include: Republic & Woodland, Gordonville, and St. Charles & Brant. Chuck works with our S.O.W. and Grow team (Spiritual Outreach and Welcoming), Member Care Work Area, and shares preaching, teaching, and other pastoral responsibilities. Rev. Cathy Christman, Associate Pastor Cathy graduated from Central Michigan University in 2004 and attended seminary at Methodist Theological School in Delaware, Ohio. Cathy was the dean of a summer camp for young children for six years and has served churches in Columbus, Ohio and Nashville, Michigan. Rev. Rev. Pamela Buchholz, Deacon Reverend Pamela Buchholz, Minister of Christian Education. Reverend Buchholz is a Deacon, certified in Christian Education. She is a graduate of Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Illinois. Prior to entering seminary, she served as Director of Children's Ministries at this church for seventeen years and prior to that served three years as Youth and Children's Director at Aldersgate United Methodist in Midland. Her primary focus now is Adult Ministries. This includes coordination of Disciple Bible Study, short-term classes, fellowship groups, travel experiences, and small groups. In addition to her work in the local church, Rev. Buchholz is a curriculum writer for The United Methodist Publishing House. She has written for the children's curriculum, "Exploring Faith" and "Live B.I.G." and the pre-teen curriculum, "Live It!" She welcomes your questions and suggestions related to Adult Ministry.
