Scholarship Opportunity
Midland First United Methodist Church has a long tradition of placing a high value on youth and education. We are pleased to announce the First United Methodist Dorothy (Dee Dee) Dickert Scholarship for 2012.
What: $1000 scholarship
Minimum requirements:
• be a graduating high school senior or high school graduate
• have maintained a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
• be accepted to an accredited college, university, trade or technical school (prior to distribution of the scholarship)
Priority Given:
• to those who are members of or regularly participate in Midland First United Methodist Church
• to graduating high school seniors or first time college students
How to Apply:
• Applications can be picked up at the church office starting February 12, 2012. Packet includes detailed information about the criteria upon which the scholarship is based.
• Completed applications must be postmarked or returned to Rev. Catherine Christman no later than April 15. • The Scholarship Committee will select the recipient from all eligible applicants.
