"...Let the little children come to me. Don't stop them, because the kingdom of God belongs to people who are like these little children." Luke 18:16

New Year - New Time - New Opportunities
Starting January 8, 2012, there will be a new Sunday School schedule. Please click here to see a detailed description.

Getting to Know Your Child: Please help us to serve your child/ren better by filling out an All about Me form for each of your children. These forms will be filed in your child’s Sunday school classroom and will help the teachers to get to know your child better. If at any time through out the year something significant changes in the life of your child, please either fill out a new form or ask to see your child’s current form so that you can add to it. Thank you in advance for helping us to better minister to your children

Nursery through Pre-K

Nursery
Our Nursery is for children under two years of age and is supervised throughout the morning by a staff nursery director and parent volunteers. Parents sign in their children and are given a pager. They are paged if there is any concern with their child. The pager also ensures that the child is released to an authorized person.

Pre-K
When children turn three they may move to Room P3 located on the main floor in our preschool wing (Fitzhugh side of the building). This large, bright, cheery room has a sand table, housekeepin corner, large blocks and other toys. The class is for children who are three or four as well as for children who are five years old, but not yet in kindergarten. Class time includes crafts, stories, games, and music related to the Bible story.

Ark Room

Our church is proud to welcome ALL children and families, including those with special needs. The Ark Room Sunday school class is available for students who need special assistance in the classroom setting during and between both morning services in Room P2 in the preschool wing. Members of our staff are Christian professionals and paraprofessionals from within the community who have experience with children with special needs. The Ark Room Sunday school class studies a different Bible story each month using custom made Sunday school curriculum, adapted for each unique student.

Please help us by making these students and families feel welcome. If a child acts differently than you may expect, just remember that we are all God’s children, striving to learn and grow closer to God.

If you feel your child could benefit from the Ark room, please help us prepare a positive experience for your child. Before your child participates in the Ark Room class, please contact Allison Kyro 835-6797 ex.13 ( ), or stop by Room P2 before or during worship to speak to a staff member.

Living your Belief In God is what our elementary Sunday School is all about. With Live B.I.G. you’ll meet new friends and travel to new places through the weekly DVD. The Sunday School curriculum is
age-appropriate and engages all the senses.

So come, take a G I A N T step in faith with Live B.I.G.

At 11:00 a.m.

Children in kindergarten through fifth grade go to Kids' Worship downstairs in the Little Theater after Children's Time in the worship service.

During Kids' Worship the children participate in and co-lead a real worship service just for them. The adult worship leader helps children select parts of worship to participate in like leading the prayer, collecting the offering, lighting the candles, working the DVD player, or leading the song movements. Children will sing along with the DVD music videos and experience an interactive Bible message presented by the adult worship leader. The music and messages are from FaithWeaver Kids' Own Worship curriculum.

For classroom locations, see building map.
