Chancel Choir
If you love to sing, the Chancel Choir is looking for you! Rehearsals are weekly, September–early June and we would love to have you join us.
This choir provides choral music for both traditional Sunday morning worship services. Chancel Choir also participates in special Composer’s Festivals, presents a Good Friday Tenebrae service, and other special music programs.

New Spirit Singers began in 1992 as a way to explore an alternative, contemporary choir experience. The group meets each week, September–May and often into the early summer.
This choir usually sings once a month and leads special services, including Thanksgiving Eve, late-night Christmas Eve worship, afternoon Good Friday community service, and occasional visits to other congregations.

Do you love making music? Join the adult handbell choir at First UMC! If you have basic music knowledge, like bass or treble note recognition—then the Carillon Choir is for you.
This choir rehearses weekly and participates monthly in Sunday morning worship. The Carillon Choir also prepares for special services and travelled to the International Bell Symposium in Orlando, Florida last year!

Circle of Praise is a women’s ensemble that began in January 2000 around the kitchen counter of one of its members. The group started out as five individuals who liked to sing, and who felt that singing in a small ensemble would be a vehicle they could use to share their faith. The group continued from there, eventually becoming an official music ministry group which sings about 4 times per year during Sunday worship services. The group has also sung at various Christian women’s programs and special FUMC programs
Circle of Praise has ranged in size from four to six members. Current members are Amy Appell, Christy Black, Lynn Burns, Meredith Carson, Heidi Kidd, and Carla Olson. Jan Sutherland is the group's accompanist. For more information please contact Lynn Burns, 835-3806 or .
All players 9th grade through adult are invited to take part in “Orchestral Opportunities”
throughout the church year.
Letters are sent out in September, January and May. We are always looking for more players! Can we add you to the list?
